The university chose Digital Networks, from among 3 competing audio-visual integration companies, to furnish and install a full-featured audiovisual system including dual-projection video, sound reinforcement, and various types of control systems in 12 classrooms and a 300-seat lecture hall in the new CHASS Interdisciplinary Bldg.

"The biggest challenge, however" states Jeremy Birch, "was not the technical complexity and scope of the project but rather the short timeline required for completion." Most of the classroom audio-visual equipment was to be installed in teaching stations supplied by UCR, so we could not start until they arrived. That gave us only 30 days, from November 19th until January 2nd, to complete almost 1100 hours (137 days) of work.

To meet this challenge Digital Networks committed 2 full installation crews, and kept them consistent throughout the project. They even worked nights and weekends near the end in order to deliver all 13 rooms by the first day of Spring semester as promised, with only minimal punchlists remaining.

UC Riverside was well-pleased with the finished product, as well as the responsiveness of Digital Networks to their needs.
